Job Summary:

The Account Manager (Talent & Client Relations) serves as the primary liaison between the agency, its talents, and its clients. The role involves managing client accounts, coordinating talent engagements, and ensuring smooth communication and execution of all activations, performances, and brand projects. The Account Manager builds and maintains trusted relationships, ensuring that client needs are met while talents are well-represented and motivated to deliver exceptional results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely communication and delivery of agreed services.
  • Understand client objectives and provide strategic recommendations on talent activations and entertainment solutions.
  • Manage client expectations, feedback, and reporting throughout project lifecycles.
  • Upsell and cross-sell talent-based solutions and entertainment services.

 

  1. Talent Relationship Management
  • Act as the link between the agency and its roster of talents (music artistes, DJs, comedians, dancers, bands, and other performers).
  • Ensure talents are well-briefed, scheduled, and supported before, during, and after activations.
  • Manage talent bookings, negotiations, logistics, and contractual obligations in collaboration with the Talent Administrator.
  • Support talent growth by identifying relevant brand collaborations, events, and partnerships.

 

  1. Project and Activation Management
  • Coordinate end-to-end planning and execution of talent-based activations, events, and campaigns.
  • Liaise with production, creative, and digital teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise event logistics including rehearsals, travel, accommodation, and on-site coordination.
  • Ensure that brand messaging and client expectations are fully reflected in all activations.

 

  1. Relationship Building and Networking
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, brand managers, and entertainment industry stakeholders.
  • Attend events, performances, and activations to strengthen relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of entertainment and influencer trends, emerging talents, and market shifts.

 

  1. Reporting and Administration
  • Track project progress, budgets, and performance metrics for all client activations.
  • Prepare regular reports on talent performance, client satisfaction, and revenue contributions.
  • Maintain organized documentation of contracts, briefs, and correspondence.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Client Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Maintain at least 90% satisfaction across managed accounts.
  2. Talent Utilization Rate: Achieve 80% engagement rate across active talents monthly.
  3. Timely Project Delivery: 100% of activations executed within agreed timelines and budgets.
  4. Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed monthly account growth targets and upselling quotas.
  5. Relationship Retention: 95% retention rate of assigned clients and talents.
  6. Operational Excellence: Zero major complaints on communication gaps, coordination, or logistics.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in account management, talent management, or client servicing within an entertainment, media, or IMC agency.
  • Strong understanding of entertainment, influencer, and brand activation ecosystems in Nigeria.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
